What's Included in a Mobile Tire Changeover

Every changeover includes the swap itself, wheel nuts torqued to your vehicle's spec, tire pressures set for the season, a TPMS check, and a tread and condition check on both sets. You tell us where the vehicle is and where the other set of tires is — we handle the rest.

• On-rim swap — your winter and summer sets are each mounted on their own rims. We swap the wheels, torque them, and set pressures. The fastest and least expensive option.

• Off-rim changeover — you have one set of rims. We dismount the current tires, mount the seasonal set, balance each wheel, and install them.

• TPMS check and reset — if your winter rims carry their own sensors, we relearn them to the vehicle so the warning light goes out. If they don't, we tell you before we start, not after.

• Tread and condition check — we measure tread on both sets and tell you straight if the set going on won't make it through the season, or if the set coming off needs replacing before spring. If you need new tires, we can source and install a set — tell us your size when you book.

• Off-season set bagged and labelled — so it's ready to go back on next time.

On-Rim or Off-Rim: Which Changeover Do You Need?

If your winter tires are mounted on their own rims, you need an on-rim swap. If you have one set of rims and the seasonal tires are loose, you need an off-rim changeover with mounting and balancing. Not sure? Look at the tires in your garage — if they're bare rubber with no wheel in the middle, it's off-rim.

If you're on the fence about buying a second set of rims: it usually pays for itself within a few seasons. On-rim swaps cost less each time, the tire bead isn't stretched twice a year, and a matched set of sensors on each rim means the TPMS light behaves itself. When to Switch to Winter Tires in Edmonton

Switch to winter tires once daytime temperatures sit consistently below 7°C — in Edmonton that's usually mid-to-late October — and switch back once they stay above 7°C, typically late April into May. Alberta doesn't legally require winter tires, but below 7°C the rubber in all-season tires hardens and stops gripping, and that's the difference between stopping at the intersection and sliding through it.

3. We do the changeover on the spot. Swap, balance if needed, torque to spec, set pressures, reset TPMS.

4. You carry on with your day. An on-rim swap takes about 30-45 minutes; an off-rim changeover takes about 45-60 minutes.

We quote the full price when you book — no surprise add-ons for TPMS, balancing or disposal when we arrive — and there's no membership or annual fee.

Regular hours: 9am–11pm, 7 days a week. That means after-work and weekend changeovers in your driveway — you don't need to book time off. Same-day changeovers when the schedule allows; during the October–November and April–May rush, book a few days ahead.
